My dad just told me he wants me to knit him a hat in my Sherlock pattern.
Except he wants it in green and black—the flowers green and the background black.
Oh, and instead of a smiley face, he wants an anarchy symbol, in red.
this is very important, guys. very important.
so I started this today! I can’t show pictures, what with the pattern being in submission and all, but I got some Patons Classic Wool on sale at Michael’s and I have cast on the brim.
Except I’m doing the brim in green, which ought to mean that the background will be green, because I think it’ll look better like that. But it seems that in the months that have passed, I forgot what my dad actually wanted.

Pattern Progress…
The Wallpaper Hat (aka the Sherlock Hat) pattern is all written up now. I have sent it to my two test knitters/bffs (Emmy and my mom; lol is my mom my bff now? oh god) and hopefully they love me and will PUT EVERYTHING ELSE IN THEIR LIVES ON HOLD so they can finish knitting and changing the pattern and taking pictures and making sure everything is beautiful and hunky-dory because unfortunately I have to have this thing turned in by next Saturday.

personal pattern notes so I remember to start this after The Olympics

In the white cashmere and (FINALLY) the rainbow Mountain Colors. White is main color.
Use chain cast-on because it’s 218 motherfucking stitches, there’s no way in hell I’m going to guesstimate the tail on that, not a chance. Plus, it’ll match the bind off, and that rocks. It’ll look so pro.
And I can finally use some of that that expensive yarn, because it’s been looming over my head since Christmas. And this is going to be cute as hell. White with rainbows. Ugh. So gorgeous.
